Thank you’s and Farewells
What a year it has been! So many downs but also so many UPS! We’ve braved, pushed forward and triumphed with a great finish! We’ve come a long way since the beginning of the school year of restrictions to finish with exciting field trips and Sports Day! Not to m
ention (because many parents love this the best) 4 days of hot lunch!
It was such a joy to see the excitement on the faces of the 1st graders going on their first field trip since starting kindergarten last year and on this note, I say thank you to all of the parents who volunteered and made it happen.
For a community to be successful it takes many hands and much commitment so THANK YOU PARENTS for your time and dedication to our school.
Hot Lunch – Thank you to all of the parents that made hot lunch such a success! Keeping hungry mouths fed and taking the stress of packing lunch off busy parents. Special shout out to Lek, Shobha, Deanna, Alexis, Amanda, Le Trinh, Anna, Prab, Iris, and of course Lindsay, our Fundraising Administrator that mans the Munchalunch helm, making sure all of our orders go through properly and liasoning with our vendors.
Class Reps – THANK YOU for keeping our parents in the loop! Keeping our school on time and in the know. Your time and commitment to our school is very much appreciated. BRAVO CLASS REPS! BRAVO!
The PAC Executive team – behind the scenes, in front of the scenes, keeping our school running, and supporting me as I steer this ship that is our community. THANK YOU! I couldn’t have done it without you.
Last but not least, our Big Kahuna Mr. Leung! THANK YOU for your partnership with our parents and your commitment to our children, to bettering their lives academically and emotionally.
Forgive me if I have missed anyone but please know in my heart I thank you each and everyone of you parents.
To those who are moving on from the Van Horne Community, we will miss you! Don’t be a stranger as you will always be part of the Van Horne family.
To those that I will see again in September, thank you for believing in me this year and trusting me to lead again next year as your PAC Chair. I always quote our motto “Together We Flourish” because we definitely do!
