Welcome to Van Horne PAC’s Hot Lunch Program!
We are pleased to offer lunches from Foodie Kids, Subway and FreshSlice Pizza on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting September 17, 2019. Hot lunch continues to be an important source of fundraising for all the great things we want to do as a PAC / parent community. Thank you for your continued support!
Ordering for September to December opens on Saturday, September 7, 2019.
Before starting, you must know the name of your child’s teacher. Kindergarten classes will be assigned on Monday, so Kindergarten parents can order after they have that information.
- Go to the Munchalunch site.
- After registering your child or children , click the green “Order Lunch” button to order
- Next time, just click the “Login Here” button to access your account.
- Once your order is completed your will receive a confirmation email and a reminder email each week. ** if you do not receive a confirmation email with your order, then go back and repeat step 3.
Please log on to your account and ensure you update your child(s) classroom division.
You have the option of ordering for the term, for the month or on a weekly basis. We would encourage you to order for the term as this is the easiest for both you and the PAC to manage.
Order deadline for the first week is September 11, 2019
Order deadline for every week is the Wednesday, 11:59 p.m. of the week before.

Feedback from parents, kids and staff has been very positive we are pleased to continue using Foodie Kids as our primary PAC hot lunch vendor for the 2019/2020 school year. Foodie Kids features real food made from scratch and in-house baking.
In addition, we have Subway on the first Tuesday of the month, and FreshSlice Pizza on the last Tuesday of the month.
Milk2Go 2% milk and chocolate milk are offered each hot lunch day.
Q: I need help with my order. Who can I contact?
A: Please email email@example.com with any questions.
Q: Will the vendor be able to accommodate children with food allergies?
A: Here’s the response from Foodie Kids when we asked that same question: “We don’t cook with nuts nor are nuts allowed in the facility. We will not guarantee that our ingredients have not been cross contaminated with nuts or other allergenics in the manufacturers facility or along its route to get to us. Ordering is at the discretion of the parent or guardian. We take every precaution to prevent cross contamination of for example, gluten-free products. There is always a possibility so we advise if there is someone with serious allergies not to order but this is at the discretion of the parent or guardian.”
Q: I didn’t know about a field trip and already put in my lunch orders for the term, can I cancel my kid’s lunch?
A: You can change or cancel orders up until the order deadline (the Wednesday, 11:59 p.m. of the week before). If you have already paid, a credit will be applied to your Munchalunch account. If changes are after this order date, you may pick up your kid’s lunch in the PAC Fridge (in the cafeteria) within 48 hours. If unable to pick up, you can also email the lunch administrator (firstname.lastname@example.org) to let her know to give your kid’s lunch to a child in need of a lunch.
Q: Can I contact the vendor directly about my child’s specific food allergies?
A: Yes. You can reach Foodie Kids by email at email@example.com or through Messenger feature on their Facebook page.
Q: Can teachers order their lunch through this system?
