Welcome to Van Horne PAC’s Hot Lunch Program!

We are pleased to offer lunches on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting January 4, 2022. Hot lunch continues to be an important source of fundraising for all the great things we want to do as a PAC / parent community.

Ordering for January to March opens on Friday, December 17, 2021. 

New families:

  3. Next time, just click the “Login Here” button to access your account.
  4. Once your order is completed you will receive a confirmation email and a reminder email each week.  ** if you do not receive a confirmation email with your order, then go back and repeat step 3.

Returning families:

Order details:

You have the option of ordering for the term, for the month or on a weekly basis.  We would encourage you to order for the term as this is the easiest for both you and the PAC to manage.

Order deadline for the first week is December 29, 2021.

Order deadline for every week is the Wednesday, 11:59 p.m. of the week before.

Vendor Information

Feedback from parents, kids and staff has been very positive. We are pleased to continue using Foodie Kids as our primary PAC hot lunch vendor for the 2022 school year. Foodie Kids features real food made from scratch and in-house baking.

In addition, we have Subway on the first Tuesday of the month, and Hot Dogs on the third Tuesday of the month.

Apple juice, Milk2Go 2% milk and chocolate milk are offered each hot lunch day.

Payment is by e-transfer only.. Please always include your confirmation order number, as well as your child’s name and division number, to ensure payments are processed properly.

Q:  I need help with my order. Who can I contact?

A: Please email with any questions.

Q: Will the vendor be able to accommodate children with food allergies? 

A: Here’s the response from Foodie Kids when we asked that same question: “We don’t cook with nuts nor are nuts allowed in the facility. We will not guarantee that our ingredients have not been cross contaminated with nuts or other allergenics in the manufacturer’s facility or along its route to get to us. Ordering is at the discretion of the parent or guardian. We take every precaution to prevent cross contamination of for example, gluten-free products. There is always a possibility so we advise if there is someone with serious allergies not to order but this is at the discretion of the parent or guardian.”

Q: I didn’t know about a field trip and already put in my lunch orders for the term, can I cancel my kid’s lunch?

A: You can change or cancel orders up until the order deadline (the Wednesday, 11:59 p.m. of the week before). If you have already paid, a credit will be applied to your Munchalunch account.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions NO LUNCHES WILL BE HELD OVERNIGHT for any student or parent to pick up after the lunch time that it was to be given out. All leftover lunches that have not been specifically allocated to a student/staff member will be considered a donated lunch thus available for any student in need of lunch or extra food.
